CHAIRS NEWSLETTER 30TH APRIL 2024

WHAT A GREAT SEASON, ITS NEARLY OVER!

All playing sections of the club have had a great season. The success of the minis and juniors in the various leagues cups and festivals, culminated in the Colts soundly beating OAs last Sunday 51-5 and winning their league and the U14s won 57-12. After much hard work by a number of coaches and managers clearing surplus water off 2 pitches to enable matches to go ahead after torrential overnight rain.

The next few weeks are busy beginning with tour, all the best to all who are going for a great weekend!

On Friday 17 th May is coaches awards night and supper.

Sunday 19 th May is mini and junior presentation day which should be a great occasion.

On Wednesday 8 th May we have great occasion with our 1 st Ladies match v Stockwood Park (for many years, the last one was a charity game in the early 80s), bar open 6-pm onwards ko approx. 7pm

The 1 st XV after the previous weeks disappointment of losing in the Papa John Cup have the Herts Presidents Plate final against Royston to look forward to on the 18 th May at Hertford RFC. UP THE VEES COME ALONG AND SUPPORT. DETAILS TBC

Our AGM is on the 20 th of June 7-30pm at the club.

Date for your diary: Sunday 9 th June VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for St Albans Half Marathon marshalling, details later. Worth around £400 for club funds.
